Loved the beer, pizza hit the spot. Friendly locals, this place has it all. If you're staying at the Catbird it's so convenient that I honestly passed it by a few times before stopping in and wouldn't hesitate to stop in again at any point in the future if I'm ever nearby and need a quick bite and beer.

We ordered the small War Pig pizza & when they say small, they mean it. It's 10 inches (6 small slices) for $24 before tax, so it's enough to share if you order an app OR enough for one with a leftover slice so be mindful of that. I will say the pizza was SO GOOD! They didn't skimp on the toppings & the glaze was a nice touch to give it that oomph! The server was manning the whole place which was a bit slower, but made sure to check on us a couple times. She was very friendly & didn't hover which I appreciate. The vibes are immaculate here. It's moody, laid back, self-seating, good music, & they have entertainment! We colored for a bit before the food came out, but they've got board games or cards too. There's also a cute beer garden tucked in the back if you wanna try your hand at cornhole or jenga! We stopped by randomly for lunch & overall enjoyed it. Next time we will definitely order a large or maybe some wings to get good & full. But lovely spot for sure!

Black Shirt is a must! Super friendly and helpful bar staff that makes sure your beer is amazing and your pizza is done just right!! I got two 5oz Paint It Black and three slices of pizza (one daily special margherita, and two custom pepperoni and tomato). Perfect. Love the chill atmosphere and the microbrew equipment in the back! Very cool memorabilia and motif as well! Definitely the perfect pizza and brewery experience for a chill night solo or with friends.

We are a beer state Love the uniqueness that each brewery brings. They carriy 12 different beers that they brew in-house. They serve cocktails, wines, seltzer, hard seltzer, spirits and sour beer that I wanna go back for. That's not unique. It makes them a spot to go.! What's unique is their delicious pizza crust is made from their spent grains and the taste is distinct. There's a bit of sweetness to it. Love it! I also learned that Jimmy and Karen the husband and wife owners love what they do. This is not just business as usual to them. One of them is always at the location. BSB opened in 2012 and they took over in Dec. of 2021. Certain nights there's a live music. They've received numerous accolades for their beer making skills. I wanted to try their in-house brewed beer and the way to go is their Beer Flights. Pick four and start there! You won't see a Food Truck parked in the vicinity. They cook everything in their kitchen.

Ok I know I'm supposed to be reviewing the beer and I'll get to that but the first thing that caught my eye when I walked onto BSB were the board games! I love this idea! My hubby and I played 2 rounds of Yahtzee while enjoying our drinks. And speaking of drinks, BSB has a good selection of beer plus cocktails and wine. While we didn't get pizza, it sure smelled good! Staff were prompt and friendly. Good music too!

Really enjoyed my experience at BSB. I could see myself here a lot if I lived a bit closer. The inside is decent size with lots of tables to sit at and a big outside beer garden with a stage. Really loved the decor on the inside, lots of cool artwork and paintings. I had the IPA and Mexican Lager. Both solid beers that tasted great! We had the TNT pizza- I never thought of cream cheese or green chili on a pizza, but I'm glad they did. It was a monthly special so I hope they add it to the menu. Clean spot, great friendly service, see you guys again soon!!

I was craving wings & pizza and some of the pizza places we like do have wings. My fiancé found this place and ordered wings (half Cajun dry rub & half Buffalo) and a large cheese. He didn't see the options to make half or order smaller pizzas so we can try other toppings so we will for sure next time. We took it to go so not sure what the vibes are inside. The wings are good!! Nice and juicy inside. The dry rub and a good kick to them and the buffalo was drenched in it so very tasty. The pizza was pretty decent. It's a thin crust. I liked the taste of the sauce and the cheese. I only wish it was cooked a bit more but we can definitely ask for it well done next time.

Stopped here after Cohesion beer. We walked to nearly every brewery within a 2 mile radius and black shirt did not disappoint. We settled on a flight so we could try the 4 main beers that peaked our interest. Our waitress was so sweet! She recommended a lot and told us about the beers. The pizza that everyone was eating around us looked and smelled amazing. The inside is very industrial but it was warm and very laid back. All the beers were great! They had a small merchandise wall next to the bar as well. Worth checking out if you're in the area and want some good beer and pizza!

Five star beer, four-ish star food, cool vibes. I got the strawberry vanilla IPA and it was quite tasty, especially for not having lactose in it. Was also hungry so got the Panama slice with honey, sausage, onions, corn and ricotta. I really liked the taste of the toppings but didn't love the crust itself. A friend got the garlic knots and while it didn't visibly look burnt, it had a very charred aftertaste. The space was cool, and I like how they did table service since not super common at a brewery. Will be back!

I visited Black Shirt Brewing for the first time two years ago and have hung out here many times since! Definitely a reliable go-to for beer and pizza, located just down the street from my gym. I take friends here all the time. Sometimes parking can be a challenge, especially when there's the weekly or monthly biker meetup that happens! Pizza generally isn't my favorite food, but they have a fantastic variety of pies on the menu, even for those who have dietary restrictions. Love their beer more and more each time I visit. Whenever there's something with orange or strawberry creamsicle, I'll immediately order that and often take some to-go. Service is great, and I can't wait to come back again.
